Terms of Service

1. Introduction

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the PhotoCrew website (photocrew.ae) and all photography services provided by PhotoCrew (“we,” “our,” or “us”), a professional photography studio based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

By using our website, booking a session, or engaging our services, you (“the Client”) agree to be bound by these Terms.

2. Services

PhotoCrew provides professional photography services in the following categories:

  • Portrait and Family Photography
  • Commercial and Product Photography
  • Fashion and Editorial Photography

The specific scope, deliverables, and pricing for each session are as described on our Pricing page and confirmed at the time of booking.

3. Booking & Scheduling

Sessions can be booked through our Cal.com booking widget, via WhatsApp, by phone, or by email. A booking is not confirmed until you receive written confirmation from PhotoCrew (via email or WhatsApp).

Upon confirmation, we will agree on the date, time, location, duration, and scope of the session. All bookings are subject to availability.

4. Pricing & Payment

All prices are quoted and payable in UAE Dirhams (AED).

Deposit

A non-refundable deposit of 50% of the total session fee is required to confirm your booking. The deposit must be received before the session date to secure your slot.

Balance

The remaining balance is due on or before the day of the session, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Payment Methods

We accept bank transfer, cash, or any other method agreed upon at the time of booking.

Additional Charges

If the session exceeds the agreed duration, or if additional services are requested (extra locations, additional retouching, expedited delivery), supplementary charges may apply. These will be communicated and agreed upon before any additional work is carried out.

5. Cancellation Policy

Client Cancellation

  • More than 48 hours' notice: Your deposit will be held as credit toward a future booking, valid for 6 months from the original session date.
  • Less than 48 hours' notice: The deposit is forfeited in full.
  • No-show: The full session fee becomes payable.

PhotoCrew Cancellation

In the unlikely event that we need to cancel, we will offer you the choice of a full refund (including the deposit) or rescheduling at a mutually convenient time.

6. Rescheduling

You may reschedule at no additional charge with at least 48 hours' notice. Rescheduling requests within 48 hours will be treated as a cancellation under Section 5.

Each booking may be rescheduled up to 2 times. After the second reschedule, a new booking and deposit will be required.

7. The Photography Session

Location: For on-location sessions, the Client is responsible for obtaining any necessary permits or permissions for the chosen location.

Cooperation: PhotoCrew reserves the right to end a session early if the working environment becomes unsafe or hostile. In such cases, fees already paid are non-refundable.

Minors: For sessions involving children under 18, a parent or legal guardian must be present at all times.

8. Delivery of Images

All images undergo professional editing and retouching. Standard delivery times are as specified in the selected package — typically 5–10 business days for portrait sessions and 2–5 business days for commercial work.

Edited images are delivered digitally via a secure online gallery. The Client has 14 days after delivery to request minor adjustments (colour correction, cropping). Requests beyond what was originally agreed may incur additional charges.

9. Intellectual Property & Image Rights

Copyright: All photographs created by PhotoCrew are protected by copyright under UAE Federal Law No. 38 of 2021 on Copyrights and Neighboring Rights. Copyright remains with PhotoCrew unless explicitly transferred in a separate written agreement.

Client License

Upon full payment, the Client receives a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use delivered images for personal, non-commercial purposes — including printing, displaying, and sharing on personal social media.

Commercial License

Clients who book Commercial & Product or Fashion & Editorial packages receive a commercial usage license as specified in their package, permitting use for business marketing, advertising, e-commerce, and promotional materials.

Restrictions

Unless a commercial license has been granted, the Client may not:

  • Sell, sublicense, or distribute the images to third parties
  • Use the images for commercial gain or advertising
  • Submit the images to stock photography platforms
  • Remove or alter embedded metadata or watermarks

Portfolio Rights

PhotoCrew retains the right to use images for portfolio display, website content, social media, and marketing, unless the Client has explicitly requested otherwise in writing.

10. Retouching Standards

Our retouching style emphasizes natural, polished results consistent with our portfolio. We do not perform heavy manipulation (body reshaping, face swapping, or addition/removal of people) as part of standard packages. Such requests will be quoted separately.

The Client may not alter or re-edit delivered images in a way that misrepresents them as PhotoCrew's work.

11. Liability

PhotoCrew's total liability for any claim shall not exceed the total fee paid for the specific session in question.

We are not liable for:

  • Loss or damage to personal property brought to the session
  • Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
  • Delays caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control
  • Colour or quality variations from the Client's printing service or display device

Equipment Failure: In the rare event of equipment failure resulting in loss of images, PhotoCrew will offer a complimentary reshoot. Liability is limited to providing the reshoot.

Data Loss: Clients are strongly encouraged to download and back up all delivered images promptly. We retain images for up to 5 years, after which they may be deleted without notice.

12. Force Majeure

Neither party shall be liable for failure to perform obligations if such failure results from circumstances beyond reasonable control, including natural disasters, severe weather, pandemic restrictions, government orders, or civil unrest. The session will be rescheduled at no additional charge.

13. Website Content

All content on photocrew.ae — including text, images, graphics, logos, and design — is the property of PhotoCrew and protected by UAE copyright law. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use any content without our prior written consent.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Dubai, UAE.

15. Changes to These Terms

PhotoCrew reserves the right to update these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. For existing bookings, the Terms in effect at the time of booking confirmation shall apply.
