How to Prepare for a Family Photoshoot in Dubai
A little preparation makes a big difference to how relaxed — and how good — your family photos turn out. Here is what we recommend to every family before their session.
Choose the right time of day and year
Dubai's light is beautiful but strong. For outdoor sessions, the hour after sunrise and the hour before sunset give soft, flattering light and more comfortable temperatures. In the hottest months, roughly June to September, we recommend an early-morning outdoor session or shooting at home, where the light is easy to control.
Plan around your children's routine too: a well-rested, well-fed child is the best model, so avoid nap times and allow for a snack break.
What to wear
- Pick a palette of two or three colours and dress everyone within it, rather than matching outfits exactly
- Solid colours and soft textures photograph better than busy patterns, large logos or neon colours
- Make sure everyone is comfortable — children who can move freely relax faster
- Bring a second outfit if your package includes wardrobe changes

Getting children (and pets) ready
- Talk to children about the shoot beforehand and keep it light — it's playtime with a camera
- Bring favourite snacks (nothing too messy) and a small toy or comforter
- Pets are welcome — let us know in advance and bring treats and someone to help handle them
- For newborns, keep the room warm and plan around feeding; newborn sessions often run longer, and that's completely fine
A simple checklist for the day before
- Confirm the time and location with us
- Lay out, iron or steam everyone's outfits
- Clear the room or corner we will use at home — we will handle the lighting and set-up
- Pack snacks, wipes and a spare top for little ones
- Keep the morning free of other plans — a relaxed family makes the best photos
At home or outdoors?
At home, we bring professional studio lighting, so you get polished, studio-quality portraits in a familiar, comfortable space — ideal for newborns and young children.
Outdoors, beaches, parks and quiet neighbourhood spots across Dubai make relaxed, natural backdrops. Some locations require permission to photograph, so we'll advise on where works best. There's no travel charge anywhere in Dubai.
What happens on the day
We guide you through natural poses and leave room for the candid moments in between. Most families find that after the first few minutes they forget about the camera — and that is when the best photos happen.
Your professionally retouched images are delivered through a private online gallery within 1–2 weeks. Our family packages start at AED 950 for a 1-hour session.
